Here is a new review of Enoria's album from the webzine femmemetal.net:
So, is Progressive Gothic Metal a new genre? I am not sure if it is or isnÕt, but that is how I would describe the Swiss band Enoria. Musically the band has got a dark, foreboding quality to them, yet still packs the musical expertise of a well polished progressive band. Enoria formed in 2003 and in 2006 with the arrival of vocalist Marie, their line-up was complete. Earlier this year Enoria released their self-titled debut and here it is in all its Progressive Gothic Metal glory.
The opener of "Life Has Left You" sets the tone, with its heavy classic metal style riffs and the soaring vocals of Marie. This track also is one of the few to feature male vocals. The next track "Boarding" continues in a similar vein but also displays a bit of a progressive metal influence to it. Other highlights include: "Spiral Of Life", "Between Two Worlds" and "Revealed Truth" all of the songs have one thing in common, the impressive vocal range of Maria. Musically, Enoria has a lot going for them as well, as the heavy Black Sabbath style riffs in "The Sentinel" will attest to. The utilizing of keyboards is also well done and adds a lot to EnoriaÕs sound. In listening to Enoria it is easy to see the promise that this talented Swiss band possesses. Enoria has recorded an enjoyable debut outing and the first of many more to come, I am sure.

Here is a little review of Enoria's album on truecultheavymetal.com:
Swiss Gothic Metallers Enoria create a dark atmosphere and a female presence in the valleys of Lausanne with their self-titled debut release, melodic vocals with a cold and dark atmosphere bellowing out of the speakers whirl the soul of the listener around with immediate effect, the effect being the feeling of sorrow and deep depression, a solemn moment for reflect and a time for listeners to relax and look back on their life, definitely one of those that can only be judged by individuals. Switzerland has their answer to Italy's Lacuna Coil.

Below is the review of Enoria's album posted on Metal Sound:
Ok, this album turned out to be more fluffy and keyboard-oriented. I mean, the music is not only based on keyboards but definitely itÕs more melodic and relaxing than some obviously more extreme or aggressive releases which I had a chance to review in the last period. The music isn't surely the most brutal one, but the atmosphere is on the other hand the hardest. Certainly there's some kind of doom-like vibe within this particular record. Here and there, the sound is captured in a lot of different and twisted musical veins. From the beginning to the end of entire material you will witness some kind of battle for life. It was so hard to notice that the cover artwork also possess some kind of malicious and even malignant atmosphere with lots of grim thoughts. So, the music perfectly reflect the idea of the cover Š itÕs deep, melancholic and rather monumental one. The sound is built on guitars and keyboards, and aside of female vocals you will find some male clean ones, too. These female vocal-pieces are the most atmospheric ones, but yet they evocate the dim ideas. This album actually is a nice balance between melancholic and melodic parts but everything seems to be wrapped in this doom vibe. The self-entitled album of Enoria is not the best one I have ever heard but itÕs a nice step for one younger band. I am indeed sure that they can reach some high level of their music and art with the future album to come!

Below is the review of Enoria's album posted on Ravenheart:
Enoria were formed in 2003 out of the ashes of the band Soulless by Fabrice (composer/drummer), Christophe (guitar/engineer) and Sylvain (keys/manager). They were joined by guitarist Pascal (guitar/artwork) and recorded a demo in 2005. Unhappy with the results and the then singer, they went into hibernation while Christophe built his own studio. Then they finally found the singer they were looking for in Marie and work started on this debut album. The results are atmospheric gothic metal in a similar vein to bands like The Gathering. Marie has a pure semi operatic voice (with occasional full operatics) that provides the perfect compliment to the music. I found similarities to bands like The Smiths where the melancholic vocals float and soar over the backdrop of guitar lines (not the normal chord riffage), but here you have the addition of Sylvain's ethereal keys to ramp up the atmosphere. The music is mesmerising, deep and almost hypnotic, but always very melodic, and superbly produced and performed as you would expect by such experienced musos. Marie is joined at times by Fabrice's bass voice, which shows you can be deep and menacing without resorting to growling. The quality is maintained throughout this collection of 12 songs (plus an outro); highlights include the dreamy 'Spiral of Life', the eerie 'The Sentinel', the dramatic 'Between Two Worlds, the otherworldly 'Eternal Sleep', and the ominous 'Ultimate Solution'. If you like your music melancholic, melodic, and mesmeric then this is a wonderful listen and can be easily purchased from CD Baby.
